Carol and Dale raised six children. She began working at Altura Turkey Plant once her children were in school. Carol went on to work as a nurse's aid in local nursing homes for many years. She enjoyed traveling, making birthday cakes and baby's blankets for her grandchildren. Raising a large family caused her to take an interest in sewing and gardening, as well as canning. She treasured her dog, Tipper.
Survivors include her six children; Bev (Tom) Ammann of Winona, Jeff Douglas of Oronoco, Sandy (Bob) Stevens of Rochester, Mike Douglas, Dale (Joanna) Douglas of Bethany and Dan Douglas of Winona, grandchildren; Aimee, Amber, Jenna, Sarah, Ryan, Lucas, Danielle, Margret, Nick, Lydia, Ashley, Carla, Matt, Christina, Zak, Alivia and Rylee, great-grandchildren; Tylor, Connor, Kaylee, Raelynn, Kinley, Clara, Reagan, Hunter, Fletcher, Ida, Bentley, Jameson, Loghan, Addy, Brevon, Jackson, Emma and Tucker and her two siblings; Harold (Sue) Riphenburg and Ken Riphenburg of Osseo.
