Tom and Bets enjoyed their lives together and raised their family of nine on the Lehnertz Family homestead where they maintained a 60 Holstein herd of dairy cattle. Tom proved to be an industrious, tireless and creative farmer until he transitioned into facilities maintenance in the 1980's. In Tom's second career as a licensed boiler operator, he was employed by St. Stanislaus school and church, from which he retired in 1996.
Tom enjoyed sports his entire life. When he could no longer play, his greatest joy was watching his children and grandchildren play sports. Tom also enjoyed drives with family to see friends and relatives. He was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was a very proud Luxembourger.
