I was fortunate to work with Nancy at Winona State University. Students in her class not only learned a whole lot of nutrition, but about life. I am certain her street wise commentary on life to her students will not soon be forgotten. Nancy lives on in my fond memories of her.

We miss you so much, Nancy! You live on in our hearts and memories! You were the first person I met when I moved to the neighborhood and helped cheer me through difficult times while battling your own. You will always live on through us!

Nancy was one of the kindest, most generous friends I ever had. We had many, many adventures in our high school and college years, road-tripping, dining, dancing, exploring, hiking, and talking about our hopes, dreams and our silly observances about life. I will miss her humor and kindness. - Kris Hipps (Hippo)

Nancy was my orientation and nutrition professor at WSU, and was one of the most impactful people I met in college. She was very personable and had a wonderful sense of humor. I often think of various quotes and lessons she shared with us, and was actually trying to reach out to her when I learned of this awful news. All of my love and a big hug to her friends and family

Anah, Paul, Ava, Karalyn, Lynn and Dale, Sending you virtual hugs and prayers for strength as you honor the wonderful memory of Nancy, a mother, daughter, sister and a pillar of resilience. May her memory always bring a smile and warm your heart. Though she is no longer in the physical world, her spirit will be watching over you and be there when you need her. She was more then the cancer she endured, leaving a career and students she loved and three wonderful adult children weaving their own lives with the same strength and motivation. Thank you for the gifts Nancy has given to you all and may they continue to remind you not of her loss, but of all the things she gave you during her full lifetime.

Oh Nancy, I admired your strength, selflessness and humor through this whole battle. I was blessed to know you pretty much my whole life, from Sunday school, high school, Job’s Daughters, then I was blessed to find you as my neighbor when I bought my house. What wonderful years we got to share together, so many precious memories. I will miss you immensely and will hold you in my heart forever. My condolences and prayers go out to the family. I’m very sorry for you loss.

Dale and Lynn, I’m so sorry to see this news of the passing of your sister. Seems an especially difficult time because I’m sure your family hesitates to come together, and families are so important at times like this. I’ll keep you in my thoughts, stay safe and healthy until this virus is defeated. Nancy Snyder

Nancy, we knew each other from Orchestra in High School, you playing the biggest instrument possible, the Bass. I was a percussionist so we were in the back row together. We chit chatted often while they worked with that darn row of violas. We later reconnected when you were a Nutrition Instructor at SE Tech and WSU....we had some great conversations in the hallway between classes. Later you gave me your set of cross country skis because you were moving. I just took them out again this year and skid by our favorite place, Cedar Valley Lutheran Church. I will be sure to check in on your mother as we live just 2 miles away, You will be dearly missed. Praying for your families comfort as they let you wear your wings and fly high above as you watch over and protect them. I will remember you as brave. Friend, Peggy (Frank) Whalen Class of 1978.
