Dear Shelly, Cheryl, Dino, Steve, and Family.
I am writing to express my deepest sorrow for the loss of Delores.
Although I did not know her well, and only had the pleasure of spending a little time with her when she was able to attend the Van Gundy gatherings, I will always remember how sweet and caring she was.
She indeed will be missed and yet her spirit will always live on.
Our sympathy's to the family of Delores. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. Let your memories of your mom be your legacy of love.
Rick and I liked Delores so much. I remember our days doing ceramics in Winona and of course the birthday club at Marilyn and Richard’s.
Shelly, Cheryl, Dino, and Steve, what a dear mom you were blessed with! Memories of Dolores take me back to the very first time I stayed on the farm. Until then, I didn't realize how fearful I was of dogs, even little ones; Dolores made sure that Toodles stayed behind closed doors while I was there. That was only the first of many treasured memories. Sending virtual hugs, prayers and much love to all of you as you celebrate the life of such a kind and caring woman, your incredible mom!
Dino and family, I am sorry for your loss, she must have been a caring wonderful woman from the tributes she has received. I send thoughts and prayers to all.
It meant so much to me that our small family who did not have any other family in. MN besides our wonderful family of friends, were often invited to the farm for holidays. I know Shelly also had a hand in including us, (the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree). We really appreciated being included. Our condolences to the whole Van Gundy clan. Your mom, grandmother, great grandmother was a very special and loving woman whom will be dearly missed. RIP Delores ❤️
So sorry for your loss. She was a sweet lady. I was fortunate to get to talk to her at the nursing home. She was in the room across the hall from my dad. She would stop in to visit sometimes when I was there. She will be missed.
So sorry for the loss of your mother, Dino. Wishing you and your family peace and comfort.
So sorry for your loss. Delores was an inspiration to everyone with her kindness and giving to the whole community. She was like a second mother to my son when they were little. BJ loved spending time at the farm and going on all the wagon rides. She will be greatly missed.
Dino, Shelly, Cheryl and Steve so sorry to hear this. Your mom was like a second mom to me. Spent many hours at your farm. Your mom was always kind and welcoming. Aunt Dolores was always a wonderful and kind woman. She was a true inspiration in what she gave to her family, friends, and community. Her home was always open to family and friends and I have fond memories of visiting the Van Gundy family as a child. May she rest in peace.
