I've known Steve my entire life, but really got to know him the last 25 years playing pool with him in the Moose Lodge Pool League. Besides being a very good pool player & great teammate, Steve was a better friend. Last winter Steve was not feeling the best, so his brother Dean sub for him most of the year. The last month of our season Steve felt good enough to shoot & he shot like he never missed a week. Steve led our team from 3rd place, to the league title. I know this meant a lot to him, but i think it meant even more to our team to have that special time with him. We will miss him (& Carolyn) at pool league, but I have a good feeling he will be keeping an eye on us. Team #3 forever!!!

My condolences to Steve’s family. Growing up in St. Charles with the Wilson family just two houses away during my younger years I knew Steve and graduated from high school with Bruce. The Willsons were great neighbors and friends. May Steve Rest In Peace.

Jerry and I spent many days in South Dakota pheasant hunting with Steve. I will always remember him walking a ditch with his shorthair in front of him and his 20ga double barreled Browning shotgun at the ready. So many great memories of those SD trips with Steve. I'm sure there's a SD martini waiting for you in heaven. RIP Steve.

Orv and Janell February 4, 2020

To the Willson Family,
We are so very sorry to hear the news of Steve’s passing. He was truly a fighter. We do not get the chance often to have a man like Steve in our lives. Kind with a great sense of humor, a true friend to many people. Orv truly enjoyed fishing with him in Canada. He is going to be missed by all who were blessed to know him. You have our sincerest sympathy but know that we were the lucky ones to call him “friend”. He will never be forgotten. God bless you Steve.
Blessings to you all. Orv and Janell Dahl
