One of the best things I loved to watch was his love for Rose. Their sense of humor with each other was always a joy to watch! I was friends with Rose first but soon became his friend as he always welcomed everyone with openness and kindness.

About 20 years ago I had a pretty hard time living in the US. At that time Steve was there for me, he took me in like a daughter and helped me cope with all the problems. He was there for me, no mater what. The Lees household was a shelter and Rose and Steve gave me all the confidence and strength I needed back then. I will forever be greatful for that. I’m so glad Steve came over to visit in 2017. Thank you, I will always love you Steve

Und deine Reise endet hier.
So vieles durftest du mir geben,
es lebt jetzt weiter - ganz in mir.

My sweetheart Steven. You are and will always be the love of my life! Our time together here ended way too soon but one day we will be together again in our Lord’s Kingdom. Until that time know how very loved you are! Thank you for loving me and making my world complete! Amazing how right through our last day you could always make me laugh! I love you!

My husband, retired CMSgt John Schrecengost, & I, retired MSgt Nancy Schrecengost, would like to extend our condolences & gratitude for Steve's honorable service.
I was stationed with "TSgt Lee" at Offutt AFB, Bellevue, NE mid 90s. I don't think I ever saw Steve without a smile on his face or cracking a joke.
May you rest in peace, brother! It was an honor serving with you. You will be missed.

Steve was a great neighbor and good friend. I regret not keeping in touch through the years. When I enlisted in the military and he enlisted we just got apart. He was a wonderful person and his friends are many and loyal. My prayers were always for his healing and now he is forever with the Lord Jesus. Remember he is not dead just in a different place. God is not the God of the dead but the living. God Bless his family my prayers to you all.

Although Steve and I lost touch over the years I always remembered him as a close childhood friend right up to our high school years. We lived next door and we got in and out of trouble together from our youngest years on up. Loved him as a friend and personality that will not be replaced. I am comforted to know Steve accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and with Jesus...Death is gain. He is already with our Savior In heaven. Prayers to Steve, Steve's family and friends. RIP my friend! Paul "Michael" Prinzing
