“There is no greater sorrow than the loss of someone close to us. But woven into the heartache, there is a glorious hope for all who know God and have been redeemed by the Blood of Jesus Christ. Death is not the final chapter of life, but rather a doorway into an eternity with God, where every longing of the human spirit is met and fulfilled.”
We do have the assurance of eternal life and we rejoice that she is with Jesus but mourn with you in your loss of her presence on this earth. She was an incredible woman in that she raised an incredible daughter in Jude. Jude and Steve are amazing blessings to us and we thank Bernice and Art for bringing her up to know Jesus and walk in His ways.
We pray our Lord Jesus brings you peace and strength as only He can, and please know that you are cared for very deeply and loved greatly by so many of us.
As a classmate of Becky’s, I knew your Mom as a wonderful parent figure. But she was a godsend to my Dad. Every year my Mom would go down to the store and try on clothes that then Bernice would help my Dad pick out for a special present. An awesome lady!!

Please accept my sincere sympathies. Bernice was a truly kind person and I have good memories of stopping into her store to visit my mother ( Jeanne Norton) who was employed by Bernice for many years. She always took the time to greet me and offer a compliment. Plus, she showed me the latest clothing arrivals. I still have a Pendleton jacket from her store. So very sorry for your loss.

What a lovely obituary. Yes Mrs.Grindland was a class act worth emulating. Classy but so friendly and warm as well. Your whole family has been a delight to know. It was always a real homecoming to be greeted by the Grindlands in church. I felt like they had been waiting just for me to show up! Like my folks, I can't speak of your mom without speaking of your dad. Mr.Grindland was my favorite Sunday School teacher. And when Jude and I were at our craziest in Junior High, they watched with twinkling eyes and tolerated us. They have been a stellar example of a marriage team and lifelong friendship. I am so sorry she is gone but so happy to have been a part of Central Lutheran at its heyday with wonderful people like the Grindlands leading. My sympathy is with you all at this saddest time Heaven is her home now and God willing we'll all dance together there some day..
