Janice Pierce

Lewiston,Janice L. (Giles) Pierce, 63, of Lewiston died Thursday August 28th at her home.      Janice married Wes Pierce on November 23, 1960. They became parents of Jesse Guy Pierce in June of 1963. Janice graduated from Lewiston High School and attended Stout Institute in Menomonie WI. She later graduated as a Home Economist from the College of St. Teresa. She was past president of the Lewiston Garden Club- member and past president of Winona Co. Home Economists Assn. patient family volunteer and chairman of the Board of Winona Area Hospice Services - member of Winona Co. Health Advisory Board - member of Winona County Crime stoppers Board, Secretary to the Board of Winona Health Auxiliary, also served on the hospitality, coffee service, gift shop and Library services there. Member of Winona Home care advisory Board, a SEMCRC RSVP Pen Pal, Health Care of MN President, Lewiston Planning Commission member and worked as a volunteer at Treasures Galore.     Survivors include her husband Wes of Lewiston and her son Jess and family of New Prague, MN, step granddaughter Ashley Grenier of Shakopee, her mother Louise Giles of St. Charles and her brother Donald Giles of Water Valley, Mississippi, plus her in laws, dearly loved by her. Her father preceded her in death.Friends are invited to gather at the Lewiston Community Center Tuesday September 2nd at 10 AM and join in a Fellowship & Sharing at 11 AM. Janice's body will be cremated. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Winona Area Hospices, 855 Mankato Ave., Winona.Hoff Funeral Home's - Lewiston Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
