John Joseph Burns

LEWISTON, MINN. John Joseph Burns, 73, died at his home on Tuesday, March 29, 2005. John was born April 7, 1931 to John and Florence (Beech) Burns in Wyattville, MN. As a life-long resident of Lewiston, He graduated from Lewiston High School in 1950. He married Levina Boyton in 1955 and she later died. He married Rachel Heublein and they were later divorced. He farmed for many years; he also bought and sold used tractor parts and was known as "Johnny Junker". John enjoyed golf and travel. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston. John is survived by his brother Tom (Arlene) Burns, Rochester, and his sister Mary Voelker of Winona, MN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a wife Levina, a brother Robert, and a sister Elizabeth. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m.Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston. Visitation will be on Monday, April 4, 2005 from 5-8 p.m. at the church with a Rosary at 4:45 p.m.; and visitation one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery.
