Stockton, MNVida E. Board, 87, died Monday, November 24, 2003 at the Lake Winona Manor in Winona, MN. Vida was born September 27, 1916 in Lewiston, MN to August and Emma (Mueller) Miller. On January 13, 1935 she married Edward L. Board in Lewiston, MN. Vida had lived in Lewiston where she worked for Benson's Produce and then moved to Stockton and worked for the Winona Knitting Mills from which she retired after 18 years of employment. Vida had been a resident for 3 months at St. Anne of Winona prior to her residence at the Lake Winona Manor for the past 2 years. Vida was a member of the Homer United Methodist Church. She served several years as the treasurer for the Stockton Methodist Church. Vida will be remembered for her love to crochet and play cards.Survivors include Vida's seven children, Edward and Roberta Board of Winona and grandchildren, Wendy, Brian, Chris and Stacy; Annah and Harold Jonsgaard of Winona and grandchildren, Rod, Roseannah and Lisa; Delbert and Sharon Board of Chetek, WI and grandchildren, Mike and Pat; Elizabeth and Richard Lassen of Stockton, MN and grandchildren, Mike and Nick; Kathleen and Bill Hinton of Barrington, NH and grandchildren, Dennis, Douglas and David; Maxine and Jerome Daniel of Stockton, MN and grandchildren, Amy and Dana; and Sue and Chuck Perry of Stockton, MN; 11 great grandchildren; and 7 great great-grandchildren. Vida is preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, a stillborn son, grandson, Darrel, two brothers, Raymond and Earl, and two sisters, Margaret and Irma. Funeral services are planned for Friday, November 28, 2003 at 11:00am at Hoff Funeral Homes- Lewiston Chapel with the Reverend Chris Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Stockton, MN. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Pallbearers will be Vida's grandsons.The family would like to give a special thank you for the nursing care and staff at Lake Winona Manor, especially Deb, and the Dialysis Unit of Winona Hospital.
