Velma P. Drysdale, 92 of Rochester, formerly of St. Charles and Dover, died Thursday August 21 at Rochester Healthcare Center. Velma was born October 7, 1910 in Little Valley of Olmsted County to Roscoe and Adaffa (Ketchum) Holdredge. She and Delmer Drysdale were married October 28, 1934 at Money Creek. They lived in Spring Valley and in Amery, Wisconsin before moving to Dover in 1947. In 1981 they moved to St. Charles. Delmer died June 2, 1996. In 1998 she moved to Rochester. Velma had worked in banking many years at the First State Bank of Dover. She was a member of the Dover United Methodist Church and had been Sunday school treasurer for many years. She was also a member of the Sunshine Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in St. Charles and had been a member of the St. Charles American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include a daughter Judy (Paul) Mohlke of Rochester, a son Robert (Helga) Drysdale of Minneapolis, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Three brothers and four sisters preceded her in death. Private family services will be at Hoff Funeral Home’s – St. Charles Chapel with Rev. Sharon Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery at Dover.
