Timothy Paul Mrozek was welcomed into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 25.
Tim was born on February 10, 1960, to Ervin and Ruth Mrozek. He grew up in Minnesota City, surrounded by family, friends, and a strong foundation of faith. His childhood was marked by adventure and curiosity—building rockets, playing baseball, canoeing on the river, selling corn grown by his family, and spending treasured time with friends at a cabin in the woods.
Tim graduated from Winona High School in 1978 and went on to attend North Dakota State University, where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering. After graduation, he moved to Colorado to pursue a career in building design. There, he found deep joy in God’s creation through skiing and spending time outdoors. Tim consistently recognized God’s presence in nature.
A proud member of the Sigma Phi Delta Fraternity, Tim deeply valued the lifelong friendships he formed through his NDSU chapter. He cherished the time he spent with Lisa, his life partner of many years, and together they shared countless camping adventures in their little RV with their beloved dog, Murphy. In recent years, Tim especially enjoyed trips to the mountains, including visits to Grand Teton, Yellowstone, and Glacier National Parks, where he delighted in capturing the beauty of creation through photography. Tim dearly loved his family and especially treasured his Sunday phone calls with his brother, Rob.
Tim’s faith was central to his life. He demonstrated strength, resilience, and perseverance while facing health related issues, never abandoning his search for healing. He found meaningful connection and friendship through a church group he was part of for 20 years at Revive Church in Brooklyn Park. His faith—like his character—was quiet, steady, humble, and strong. Tim trusted in God’s promises, lived with humility, and showed compassion and kindness to everyone he met. He was deeply grateful for the blessings in his life and sought to reflect Christ’s love through his actions.
Tim is survived by his loving partner, Lisa Groves; his sister, Judy (Jim) Panek; his brother, Rob (Jennifer) Mrozek; his sisters-in-law, Shawn Mrozek and Holly Groves; and his nieces and nephews: Conager (Kaitlin) Mrozek; Dakota (Marjore-Mae) Mrozek and their children, Lakelyn and Haeken; Nicole (Chris) Mrozek and their children, Jayda, Kolten, and Aurora; Danielle (Zac) Mrozek; Madeline Duffy; Avarie (Gunnar) Bestenlehner and their children, Orion and Atticus; and Harrison Groves.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Ruth Mrozek; his brother, Scott Mrozek; and his beloved dog, Murphy.
