Theodore Wayne Hisey, Jr. "Teddy" April 16, 1974 - May 26, 2026
Theodore Wayne Hisey, Jr. ("Teddy"), born on April 16, 1974, grew up in Edina, Minnesota, where he developed a lifelong love of family, the outdoors, and adventure. Teddy tragically passed away in a car accident on May 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for those fortunate enough to know him.
Teddy graduated from St. Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights, Minnesota, earned his bachelor's degree from Florida State University, completed a Master’s Certification in Project Management at Villanova University, and became a Certified Legal Mediator for the State of Florida.
Among Teddy's greatest joys was his beloved dog, Tucker, who faithfully shared 17 wonderful years by his side. He loved traveling, spending time on the water, cooking for family and friends, and embracing every adventure life had to offer. Whether snow skiing, water skiing, surfing, or wakeboarding, Teddy was happiest outdoors, especially when making memories with his family and those he loved.
Teddy loved his family with all his heart and considered it his life's purpose to protect and care for those he loved. His family was the center of his world. He was known for his compassionate heart, generous spirit, and unwavering loyalty. Teddy possessed a sharp wit and an infectious sense of humor that could light up any room. He had a gift for making people laugh with his quick one-liners, clever observations, and warm personality. His laughter was contagious, his smile genuine, and his ability to lift the spirits of those around him was one of his greatest gifts. He would gladly give someone his last nickel if it meant helping another person and never hesitated to be there for those in need. His kindness, humor, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Teddy is survived by his loving mother, Marlene and stepfather James Reedy; dedicated grandmother Millie Hisey, father Theodore Hisey Sr., many devoted aunts, cousins, extended family members, and cherished friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
Though our hearts are broken by Teddy's passing, we celebrate a life lived with courage, generosity, laughter, and unconditional love. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, and his memory will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
