Shirley Ann Johnson

Shirley Ann Johnson, 76 of St. Charles died Sunday, April 21, 2019 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester.
Shirley was born May 7, 1942 in St. Charles to Luther and Alice (Schoolcraft) Tollefson. She attended school in St. Charles. Shirley married Arvin Johnson on February 4, 1961 at the St. Charles United Methodist Church. She worked for NW Bell Telephone Company, Methodist Hospital, Camera Art and Whitewater Health Services (St. Charles Nursing Home). Shirley was a lifelong member of St. Charles United Methodist Church.
Shirley enjoyed flower gardening, crocheting, knitting and cross stitching. She truly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. It was rare to see Shirley without a smile on her face or laughing at something.
She is survived by two children, Shelly (Jon) Kroening and David Johnson; grandchildren, Paige, Nathan, Noah and Nicholas Kroening; three sisters, Pat (George) Putzier, Helen Tollefson and Lou Tollefson and nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband Arvin in 1997; son, Mike in 1983 and one sister, Dorothy Molde.
Per Shirley's wishes, private family services will be held. She will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery. Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service - St. Charles is assisting the family with arrangements.
