Sheila Pomeroy

Sheila Marie Pomeroy, 72 of Winona, died January 23, 2022 at her son's home surrounded by family. She was born on June 21, 1949 in Winona to Richard and Dorothy (Dady) Carney. While attending Winona Senior High she fell in love with Duane Pomeroy. They were married on September 3, 1967 and enjoyed 54 wonderful years together.
Sheila work at Peerless Chain for 18 years before switching career paths and becoming a certified nursing assistant and personal care attendant.
She enjoyed her flower garden, crocheting, and fishing. Duane and Sheila loved going for motorcycle rides and most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Duane; children, Lisa Pomeroy and Shawn (Becca) Pomeroy; grandchildren, Kara Pomeroy, Allie Pomeroy, Ashley Pomeroy, Shawna Pomeroy, Kadin Ahler, Carly (Jake) Robinson, Ariana Leibried, Lex Leibried, Chase Pomeroy, Trevor Pomeroy, Onnah Pomeroy, and Alissa Orsten; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Andrew, Charley, Riley Elaine, Evelyn, Kinslee, Riley, Ryan, Drake, Karissa, Patrick, and Kadin; brothers, Mike (Helen) Carney and Richard Carney; and brother-in-law, Otis Pomeroy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tina; infant son, Richard LaVern; and siblings, Terry Payette, Julie Carney, and Steve Carney.
A Celebration of Sheila's Life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center with her daughter-in-law Becca leading the service.
