Sharon Lorna Unnasch

Sharon Lorna “Gady” Unnasch, age 77 of Houston, MN, passed away unexpectedly at her home from natural causes on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Sharon was a pillar of faith and fellowship as a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church. 

Her commitment to service was evident through her active involvement with the St. John's Ladies Aid. She was also a proud participant in the Winona County Old Settlers and the Ridgeway Homemaker Group. 

Sharon spent the first 25 years of her working career at UBC. For 23 years, Sharon worked alongside her husband, Jerome, on their farm. She had a passion for gardening, and she took great pride in the raspberries she grew. In her last three years, Sharon worked at Express-A-Button. 

She had a great love for cats and all family get-togethers.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jerome, daughters, Carol (Jamie) Teale and Kathy (Tim Loomis) Unnasch; grandchildren, Jesse (Amber), Arrie (Damion), Ellie (Devon), Nikki, and Cheyanne; great grandchildren, Alex, Willow, and Cameron; sister, Irene (Ken) Boldt; brothers-in-law, Richard (Winifred) Unnasch, Ron Scheck, John Rossin, and Ron Wright; and sister-in-law, Heidi Unnasch.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Louise; in-laws, Merton and Avis; siblings, Marlin (Anita) Gady, Marlene (Leo) Bahler, Delaine Scheck, and Carol Rossin; brother-in-law, Merton “Keith” Unnasch; sisters-in-law, Faye Foster and Diane Wright; and nephews, Wade Boldt and Blaine Boldt.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the St. John’s Lutheran Church Ladies Aid.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Hoff Funeral Home Houston, 5pm-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 11am at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Nodine with visitation beginning at 10am. Sharon will be laid to rest at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pastor Ethan Boese will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Janelle Rediske, Kris Walters, Joyce Lorch, Julie Unnasch, Debbie Frye, Alysia Woodard, Stena Lieb, and Nancy Unnasch.
