Scott Virock

Scott K. Virock, age 83, of Houston, MN, longtime resident of Winona, MN, died Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI.

Scott was born December 27, 1942, in La Crosse, the son of Deloin and Adeline (Norton) Virock. The family resided in Houston, MN. After graduating from high school, Scott went directly into the United States Army, where he honorably served our country. His first assignment was in Panama, where he met the love of his life, Jacinta. He was also stationed in Okinawa, Japan, and other places in the United States. Jacinta and Scott enjoyed traveling, and visiting family. One of the greatest joys for Scott was visiting Panama, where they had a family home. In Panama Scott loved to visit Jacinta’s family who all adored him, and lovingly called him Papi. The couple was blessed with one daughter, Gina, who was the apple of his eye. Scott was a friendly person with a very kind heart, and had numerous friends wherever he went.

He is survived by his wife, Jacinta; daughter Gina Virock of Winona, MN; siblings: Jacob Virock, Shawn Virock, and Marcy Zenanko; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Terry Virock, Nancy Matthews, and Edmond Virock.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm at Hoff Funeral Home in Houston, MN. Interment will follow at Silver Creek Cemetery in Looney Valley.
