Ruth Caroline (James) Horn was born in Milwaukee on July 17, 1935, and passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 5th. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bob and daughter Margaret. She is survived by her son, Nathan (Sheila) and her daughter, Becky. 8 grandchildren and 6 Great grandchildren with a 7th on the way.
Ruth loved to cook, quilt, sing/harmonize, watch football and basketball and play card games. She grew up in Milwaukee with her 5 sisters, and her best memories were harmonizing with them in the kitchen doing dishes. She played multiple musical instruments and sang and danced with the traveling Allen-Bradley Company. When she married Bob in 1958, she worked alongside him and raised their family on the beautiful lake in Prior Lake, MN all while being active in the local Prior Lake Players theater group and their church Holy Trinity United Methodist. In their later years, they loved their time at their second home in the Villages, Florida, and she and Bob loved to travel all over the world, but they loved Europe the best and went back several times.
Mom. Grandma. Sister. Friend. Ruthie is going to be missed by so many, and we are sure she is directing choirs in heaven. We love you, Mom. Private family gathering and Fort Snelling burial service next to Bob will follow.
Hoff Celebration of Life Center is assisting the family.
