Ronald Roessler

Ronald Wayne Roessler joined his heavenly Father on June 19, 2026, at the age of 83. He was born to Martin and Loretta Roessler in Rochester, MN, on September 27, 1942. He graduated from John Marshall High School, enlisted in the Air Force and served from 1960–1964, graduated from Rochester Technical College and held a commercial aviation license.

He married the love of his life, Phyllis Fohrman, on July 23, 1966. They celebrated 60 years of marriage together.

Ron spent most of his career working at the Mayo Clinic, where he dedicated 32 years of service.

Ron loved God, his family and the life he built, not because it was perfect but because it was his and built with intention. Ron had an engineer’s mind, and the patience and resolve to put it to work every day. He could build anything, fix anything, and always found a way to make things work. He believed in hard work and never taking shortcuts, measure twice, cut once, and always put the tools back where they belong.

In his spare time, Ron built two houses, garages, and moved sheds. His custom camping trailer build was one of kind. He fixed and maintained countless cars, computers and microwaves, keeping everything in his home and the homes of others running smoothly. These skills put roofs over heads, kept families moving, and made life easier for everyone around him.

Ron enjoyed the great outdoors as long as it was West of the Mississippi River. He liked walking the lane on his hobby farm, time away at the cabin with family, and water skiing. He had a deep affinity for aviation, astronomy, the weather, and understanding how things worked and he would happily talk your ear off about any of them. He never said no to a hug or a scoop of ice cream. He created fun with his children and grandchildren, whether it was go‑carts, backyard zip lines, radio‑controlled airplanes, or intricate marble runs.

He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Phyllis; their three children, Craig (Megan) Roessler, Pamela Roessler, and Erik (Jennifer) Roessler; eight grandchildren, Jack (JoJo), Harrison, Quinn (Caryn), Sawyer, Sienna, Hannah, Gabe, and Aiden; and one great‑grandchild, Eden. He is also survived by his siblings Larry (JoAnn) Roessler, Mary Jo (Glen) Haase, and Lora (Larry) Wardrip and brother-in-law, Maynard Week.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Loretta, and his sister, Marlene Week.

Services will be held Monday, June 29th, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Eyota, MN. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m., with burial and luncheon to follow.
