Robert John Winzenburg passed away in the hope of resurrection on June 16, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Mary's Campus in Rochester, MN, due to complications from a heart attack, surrounded by the love of his family.

Bob was born in Jackson, MN, to Mary Lou (Huppler) Winzenburg (2001) and Leo G. Winzenburg (1990). He remained close to his brothers, Mark (Pam), Katy, TX; Eric (Paris), Saxtons River, VT; and sister Mary, Rochester, NY, and was blessed with many nieces and nephews.

Bob graduated from Mankato State College in 1974. He was one of many in a great group of friends, creating lifelong friendships and memories. He later went on to William Mitchell College of Law.

Bob was admitted to the Minnesota State Bar Association and practiced law throughout his life.

Bob and Beverly Henry (Bayleigh) were married on May 28, 1988, in Mankato, MN. They are blessed with 3 children, Joseph, Mankato, MN; Andrew, Minneiska, MN; and Claire, Port Townsend, WA.

Bob was a long-time friend of “Bill W” and was always willing to share his experience, strength, and hope with others.

Bob loved history, especially Civil War history. Bob and Bayleigh retired to Minneiska, MN, in 2019, where he enjoyed watching trains and barges and life on the Mississippi River every day.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Minneiska, MN. A reception and lunch will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church hall, 115 W Belvidere Ave. Kellogg, MN.
