Robert “Bob” John Schrupp, 65, of Winona, MN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. True to his generous spirit, Robert was an organ donor, giving the gift of life to at least three individuals.
Born on June 14, 1960, in Glencoe, MN, to Donaver and Delores Schrupp, Robert was one of eleven children in a warm, close-knit family. A 1985 graduate of the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences, he dedicated his professional life to helping others live healthy, fit, and pain-free. Robert ran a thriving physical therapy practice for many years and expanded his impact through his YouTube channel, “Bob and Brad,” sharing trusted advice and care with a global audience. Even after his diagnosis with cerebellar ataxia, Robert remained steadfast in his mission, adapting with resilience and determination to continue helping as many people as possible through his expertise and compassion.
In 1985, Robert married the love of his life, Linda (Peterson) Schrupp, and together they built a 40-year marriage filled with love, mutual support, and shared dreams. He was a devoted father to Jamie, Sarah, and Matt, instilling in them his kindness, strong values, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Robert found joy in life’s simple pleasures: playing poker and cribbage, golfing, brainstorming new business ideas, and cherishing time with loved ones at the family cabin. His humor, warmth, and generosity touched everyone he met. He was a dedicated family man, and he was so proud of his children and how they lived their lives. He cherished all of the time he got to spend with them.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Schrupp; children, Jamie Tesch and her husband Jonathon Tesch, Sarah Schrupp and her partner Jacob Brenke, and Matt Lindsey Schrupp and his wife Brenna Lindsey Schrupp; his mother, Delores Schrupp; his siblings: Steven Schrupp, Beverly (Kelly) Barry, Mary (Tim) Alexander, Linda Schrupp, Karen (Dave) Dammann, Donna (Jeff) Boesche, Brenda (Gary) Van De Steeg, Bonnie (Paul) Hahn, and Richard (Krista) Schrupp; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donaver Schrupp, sister, Laurie Schrupp, and brother-in-law, Jeff Boesche.
Robert’s life was defined by kindness, humor, and an unwavering commitment to others. His legacy will live on in his family, friends, patients, and the countless lives he touched through his wisdom and generosity.
A celebration of his life will be held by the family at Hoff Funeral Home in Winona at 2:30pm on Saturday August 16th, visitation beginning at 1pm.
Robert had a special fondness for the Lanesboro Golf Course, building a cabin in the woods right next to the course. For 20 years his "happy time" was being on that course with so many family and friends. The course is in desperate need of a new sprinkler system/ upgrade and has done fundraising to make that upgrade a reality. They are still in need of funding. Contributions to the Lanesboro Golf Course new sprinkler system fund would be a wonderful way. Robert was an avid golfer on that course for the past 20 years and enjoyed his outtings with family and friends each often. The family cabin sits right next to that golf course. The family also suggests a donation to the National Ataxia Foundation.
