Rita Stock

April 2, 1931 — May 22, 2023

Rita Anne Stock, 92, of Lewiston, MN died on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Lewiston Senior Living surrounded by her loving family. Rita was born on April 2, 1931 in Minneapolis to Joseph and Leona (Zeren) Neville. She graduated with the class of 1949 from Edwardsville High School in Edwardsville, Illinois and later went on to vocational school in Austin, MN to earn her cosmetology certificate.

Rita was united in matrimony to Arnold Stock on November 29, 1949 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. They were blessed with four wonderful children; Patricia, Michael, Catherine, and Amy. Rita was very involved at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in LeRoy. She took on many duties being part of her church unit. Some of them included cooking meals, organizing weddings, baptisms, first communions, and she always made sure the priest and alter attendants' garments were wrinkle free. In 1988, the family moved to Rochester to be closer to family and work.

Rita was a very talented person in many different ways. She was extremely artistic and had an eye for the details. She made dolls and doll houses that were above and beyond. She was an excellent baker, from cookies to crepes, she did it all. Rita treasured her trips to Lark Toys with the grandchildren to see the woodcarvings and gnomes. She had such a kind soul and always put others before herself. Rita loved her family more than anything and she always cherished the time she had with them. She will be greatly missed.

Rita is survived by her children; Patricia Stock, Catherine Golden, Amy Hanson; grandchildren, Nick Manthey, Melissa Ebnet, Matt Golden, Molly Golden, Cody Hanson; great-grandchildren, Destyni Manthey, Jesse Manthey, Kloie Ebnet, Tatum Manthey, Tristan Ebnet; and sister, Sister Molly Neville.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold Stock; son, Michael Stock; brothers, James Zeren, Jack Neville, and Patrick Neville, and Mickey Neville.

The family would like to thank Winona Area Hospice and Lewiston Senior Living for the excellent care they provided.
