Richard "Dick" Kreidermacher, of Altura, died at the age of 76, on October 18, 2025, after a quick onset battle with cancer. He was born on August 22, 1949, in Winona, as the son of Leonard and Marcella (Blace) Kreidermacher
Dick graduated from the last class of Holy Trinity Catholic High School before it closed. He began his higher education at Winona State University before marrying the love of his life and best friend, Linda Stoos, on October 4, 1969, at Immaculate Conception Church on Oak Ridge. Together, they raised two wonderful children and built a life filled with love and laughter.
During high school he worked for Rollingstone Lumber, then for a few years, he worked alongside his uncles with Kreidermacher Trucking. Dick spent years farming with his father and brother on the family farm before embarking on his own farming journey in 1992. He was also employed at Kalmes Implement.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Dick found joy in farming, fishing, hunting, and golfing. He had a passion for sports; especially baseball, cheering for the Minnesota Twins and Green Bay Packers. Whether watching games live or on T.V., he loved every moment spent immersed in sports. Dick also enjoyed bowling, playing poker, and going to plays with Linda. Their travels together were a highlight of his life, particularly road trips where he cherished the opportunity to drive and take in beautiful landscapes, often stopping at charming small-town cafes to chat with the locals, especially farmers.
Dick was actively involved in his community, serving with organizations such as the Rollingstone Jaycees, Altura Lions, and the Winona County Planning and Zoning Commission. He took great pride in assisting people through the Lions Club by transporting patients to their doctor appointments. He also served on the Immaculate Conception Church Board, the Winona Eagles, the Knights of Columbus, and the Luxembourg Heritage Society.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda "Lucky Lindy;" children, Scott (Carl Juarez) Kreidermacher, Jennifer (John) Marin; grandson, Brandon (Melissa) Marin; great-grandchildren, Harper, Everly, Tatum, Valerie; special godchildren; many nieces and nephews; siblings, Ann (Bob) Wobbe, Alan (Denise Milton) Kreidermacher, Julie Kreidermacher, Betsy (Dan Volkman) Beech; siblings-in-law, David (Sandi) Stoos, Diane (Tom) Bronk, and Gary (Mary) Stoos.
Dick is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Marcella; parents-in-law, Myrton and Dorothy Stoos; and sister-in-law, Patricia Kreidermacher.
