St. Charles

Patrick Joseph Stevens, 80 of St. Charles, Minnesota, passed away on October 8, 2026. He was a man who measured his life not in accomplishments, but in relationships: often to be found at a local coffee shop or auction socializing with his many friends and acquaintances.

A lifelong resident of St. Charles, Patrick was born to Joseph and Marjorie (Sasse) Stevens on March 24, 1946. After graduating from St. Charles High School in 1964, he began his career in the construction industry. During the Vietnam war, he served in the US Army from 1967-1969 where he was stationed in Korea. After his service, he spent his working years as a sheet metal worked and welder, until his retirement. In 1978, he and Bernadine Nensel were married. During their 48 year union, they raised two children and became grandparents to 5 grandchildren. Pat was a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Bernadine Stevens, his stepson, Phillip (Sherri) Nensel, daughter, Kathryn (Kenny) Kreitzer and grandchildren, Ashley Nensel, Jessica Nensel, Heather Nensel, Morgan Kreitzer and Aiden Kreitzer. He is also survived by his siblings, Mark Stevens, Brenda Martin Lozano, Nancy Stevens, and Mary (Joe) Bearden. He was preceded in death by his parents.
