Norman Robert Engen, age 83, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, in Winona, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ivar and Mary (Boe) Engen, and sister, Sonja Bray. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Doris (Price) Engen; their four children, Audra (Greg) Holbeck, Tracy (Jason) Merk, Christine (Travis) Woyczik and John Engen; six grandchildren, Peyton and Addison Holbeck, Jaylyn and Gianna Merk, Allie Woyczik, Maddie Engen; and nieces and nephews.
Norm was born on January 12, 1942, in Crookston, MN. He enjoyed living on the family farm in Climax, MN. After graduating from Climax High School in 1960, he continued working on the family farm before enlisting in the US Army in 1963. He met and married his wife, Doris, in 1968, and eventually ended up settling down in Cottage Grove where they raised their four children. Norm was a barber in the early years of their marriage and later drove a tanker truck for the Unocal 76 Company. Norm was a very outgoing, charismatic guy who loved riding his motorcycle, working on cars, tending his garden, and cutting hair on the side. He was famously known for striving to have the best-looking lawn on the block.

Interment will be held at Fort Snelling on January 23, 2026, at 11:00am followed by a Celebration of Life at Carbone’s Kitchen & Pub from 1pm-4pm located at 7155 Jorgensen Lane in Cottage Grove, MN.
