Monica Cundari

Monica C. Cundari, beloved mother and dog enthusiast, passed away on November 5, 2023, at the age of 88, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Monica was born on May 9, 1935, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, to Joseph and Rose (Luedtke) Werner. She graduated from Bradford High School in Kenosha.

After completing her education, Monica found employment at the Dicello Insurance Company in Kenosha, and later she dedicated her career to serving others as an administrator at Washington Manor Nursing Home in Kenosha.

While she was in Kenosha, horses were a big part of her life. She was a long-time member of the Sommers Saddle Club in Kenosha. Monica and her late husband, Fred had a genuine passion for dog training and field trial competitions. They became active members of renowned organizations such as the Black Hawk Retriever Club, and the Watopa Retriever Club.

Monica will always be remembered for her unwavering honesty, inner strength, and love for her family and her beloved dogs. Her determination and resilience served as an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Monica is survived by her children, Theresa (Roger) York, Mike (Ann) Cundari, Lynn (Rick) Simon, Julie (Robin) Madgwick; 8 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Cundari; sons, Mark and Mike.

Memorial service will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Winona, MN at 11 a.m. A visitation will begin 1 hour prior to the service.
