Michael “Red” S. Glenna, 49, of Friendship, WI peacefully passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022, at his home in Friendship, WI with his loving family by his side.

Red was born on April 18, 1973, in Brookfield, WI. His parents were Leslie Glenna and Donna Roberta (Patterson) Glenna. He was raised in Fennimore, WI and graduated in 1991 from La Crosse Central High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and was an avid fan of the Wisconsin Badgers. Red worked as a Loss Prevention Manager at JC Penney and Sleep Number Beds for 20 years, and then as a Purchasing Manager at Renovation Systems since January 2013. On April 27, 2005, Red was united in marriage with Tina Baumgartner in Punta Cana Dominican Republic.

Red was described by friends and family as a person who is positive, energizing, and a light like no other, bringing smiles and laughter everywhere he went.  They will greatly miss Red’s friendship, generous heart, and huge personality.  He had incredible strength in the face of adversity and pain but focused on happiness in life, encouraging and inspiring others.

He loved motorcycles, boating, yachting, tailgating, ATVs, camping, golfing, meeting new people and hunting and fishing.

Red volunteered at Finnegans Beer for over 21 years. Finnegans Brew Company is a nonprofit organization which uses their profits to feed the homeless in partnership with local farms. Additionally, he loved raising funds supporting Special Olympics and completed the Polar Plunge over 325 times.

Red is survived by his wife, Tina; brother, Jason Glenna of Wyoming, sister, Lori (David) Colbenson of Minnesota; and by his dogs, Guinness and Chloe.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
