LANESBORO, MN. - Mavis Dragvold, 93, of rural Lanesboro died on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI.
Mavis was born in Preble Township of Fillmore County, MN to Melvin and Petra (Sand) Meldahl. She was united in marriage to James Dragvold on September 18, 1948, in Mabel, MN. Mavis was a member of Highland Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Peterson, MN, its WELCA and quilting group. Mavis lived in the Peterson area all of her life and worked for many years at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford in the housekeeping and laundry departments.
She is survived by two sons: Jerry (Julie) Dragvold and Philip Dragvold both of Lanesboro; two grandchildren: Jason and Janette; and by many nieces and nephews.
Mavis was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers: Cyrus and Alvin Meldahl.
A private family graveside service has been scheduled.
