Markell John Smith-Schewe

Markell John Smith-Schewe, infant son of Maurice Smith, Jr. and Kelsea Schewe, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.
Markell was born March 24, 2021 and in his short 6 weeks on this earth, he left a mark that can never be replaced. "Baby Kelz" as he was often called, had such a personality. He loved to be held and listen to music, especially when his dad was singing to him.
He will be forever loved and missed by his parents, Kelsea and Maurice; brothers and sisters, Carissa, Nyah, Tah'niyah, Jatavius, Kaelin and Bre'ella; grandparents, Steve Schewe (Dori Volkman), Maurice Smith, Sr., and Bertha (Steve) Jensen; aunts, Kelly (Todd) Hite, Shilo Schewe (Brad Pruka), Justine (Sheri) Starks, Stephanie Smith (Trout Biggity), Tiffanie Parker, Tawana Smith (Spank), Shannon Smith, Keyosha Moore (Junior) , Amanda (Dan) Steinke and uncles, Stevie (Melanie) Hawley, Lance Schewe, Darnell Jensen, Andrew Volkman, and Alex Volkman; and many cousins, extended family and close friends.
He was greeted in Heaven by his grandmother, Virginia "Ginger" Hawley and his cousins, Zegan Pruka, Olivia Schewe and Tony Miller as well as many other relatives.
Funeral Service for Markell will be 1 p.m., Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service - St. Charles (519 St. Martin Ave, St. Charles, MN) led by Funeral Celebrant Jenny Hoff. Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the time of the service.
