Marilyn Jean Boehmke, born July 11, 1940 to Maynard and Myrtle Fenney, passed away on February 25, 2026, in Palmview, Texas.
On November 2, 1957, she married the love of her life, Charles Boehmke. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work, farming side by side for many years. Marilyn also worked outside the home at Rush Products, Camera Art/Herff Jones, where she formed many lasting friendships.
Marilyn was an active and devoted member of Rushford Lutheran Church. Her faith guided her daily life and the church community was very dear to her heart. She found comfort and strength in worship and fellowship.
Marilyn loved horseback riding, motorcycle rides, and taking trips in their convertible with the wind in her hair. She had a special gift for growing flowers and found great happiness in tending her garden. She especially loved hummingbirds and delighted in watching them gather around her feeders. In later years she and Charles cherished their Texas winters, spending more and more time there.
Above all, Marilyn was devoted to her family. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Charles, her four children Jeff (Karin) Boehmke, Jay Boehmke, Lisa (Mike) Dietrich and Leslie Boehmke. Grandchildren Nicholas (Denise) Boehmke, Ashley (Mike) Benson, Chris (Kelsey) Boehmke, Zach (Aspen) Boehmke, Joey (Jenny) Rossiter, Bahama Boehmke, Sarah (Ryan) Smith, Rachel (David) Moskovitz, Brock Johnson, Brooke Johnson, and 13 great grandchildren, as well as her sister, Ann Horswill.
Memorials could be directed to Rushford Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Hoff Funeral Home in Rushford, Minnesota from 4:00-7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Rushford Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00 Am with lunch to follow in the church basement.
She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed, in our hearts forever.
