Marge Fix

Marjorie L. "Marge" Fix, 86, of St. Charles died Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield. Marge was born January 16, 1934 in Fillmore County to Carl and Lucille (Perry) Eide. On August 18, 1951, Marge and Curt Fix were married in Chatfield. They made their home in Dover where they raised their three children. Marge owned and operated Marge's Meats and Groceries in Dover. She later worked for Waters Conley, Camera Art and retired in 1994 from Mayo Clinic. She was a member of the Dover Community Church, active in the church's United Methodist Women's group.
Marge was "everybody's mom;" a giving person and a natural caretaker of others. She enjoyed bowling, being outdoors and going for walks. Entertaining and being with family were important to her. Following Curt's death in 2010, Marge moved to St. Charles.
Survivors include her daughter, Vicki (Darrell) Koehler of Dover, a son, Britt (Tonia) Fix of Chatfield, daughter-in-law, Deanna Fix of Grand Junction, Colorado; six grandchildren, Jason (Mary) Koehler, Joshua (Sarah) Koehler, Chase (Becky) Fix, Justin (JT) Fix, Brianna (Jed) Deno and Danielle (Byron) Call, two step-grandchildren, Andrew and Jordan Boysen; 11 great-grandchildren, Jayden, Delaney, Layken, Cadence, BryLynn, Kauri, Soren, Vayda, Morgan, Hadli, Phoenix and Justice; siblings, Carmen Odegarden of Rochester, Darwyn (Bonnie) Eide of St. Charles, Karen Pervin of Chanute, KS, Dale (Connie) Eide of Rochester and Karla (Don) Glynn of Jacksonville, FL. Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Curt, a son, Terry, a brother Curt Eide and a sister, Virginia Teigen.
A private service will be held at 3:00 pm for Marge on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Hoff Funeral Service in St. Charles led by Cyndy Spear of the Dover Community Church. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Dover. A public visitation will be 1:00 - 3:00 pm in accordance with current restrictions, facemasks are required, and social distancing will be observed.
