Marcus attended Peter Van Vlissingen Grammar School and later graduated from Corliss High School in Chicago. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rachel Shines; aunts, Winifred Shines and Zerline Shines; uncles, L.C. Shines and Roscoe Watson; and cousins, Benjamin Shines and Jonta Shines.
May his spirit continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him.
