Lorisa “Lori” Jane Heim was born on June 1, 1959 in Windom, MN to John and Sylvia (Hill) Gravley. She passed away at home in St. Charles surrounded by her sons and their spouses on October, 14, 2025.
In Lori’s own words:
In 1976, I married Allen Coyer and were blessed with one son, Travis. We were later divorced. I then married Timothy Carl Heim in 1986 and were blessed with three more sons, Abraham, Luke and John, two grandchildren Cody Otto and Elijah Gunter.
I worked various jobs waitressing including Moqui Lodge at the Grand Canyon, Herff Jones, soldering Sperry Univac and R and B Contracting, ETI, and secretary at St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
I loved going barefoot, dancing, gardening, mushroom hunting, garage saleing, but above all the loves of my life, my boys. You were my life.
I was preceded in death by my father in 1960, mother in 1976, grandparents, brother Lonnie, former husbands Allen Coyer, Timothy Heim, and grandson Elijah Gunter.
Survived by sons, Travis (Melissa Cox) Coyer, Abe (Melissa) Heim, Luke (Meghan) Heim, and John (Tess) Heim. One grandson, Cody Otto and one Granddaughter, Harmony Jane Heim due in March. Brothers, Larry (Donna) Gravley, Lance (Deb) Gravley, and sister Linda (Gary) Wilson and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Lori's life will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in the Fellowship Hall from 11 AM to 2 PM. Friends and family are invited to join together to share memories and honor her legacy. The celebration will continue at Neighbors Pub in Dover, where stories, laughter, and love will fill the air as we remember this wonderful woman who touched so many lives.
