Lois "Sally" Clobes passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the age of 88, at Gundersen Health Systems in La Crosse, WI, with her children by her side. Born on April 4, 1937, to Arnold and Leola (Gerths) Schroeder, Sally spent her younger years on the cherished family farm in Viola, MN.
On June 15, 1957, she married her beloved husband, Floyd Clobes, whom she met at a dance on an Air Force Base near Rochester. Together, they created a family, Sally thrived in her role as a dedicated homemaker. While her primary focus was on her family, Sally also shared her kindness with others through her work at The Lewiston Villa Nursing Home, and at Mayo Clinic as a Transcriptionist.
Sally’s joys extended to the simple delights of life. She took great pleasure in pickling beets, tending to her flower gardens, loving animals, listening to polka music, and dancing with her husband at Pla-mor Ballroom in Rochester.
Sally is survived by her children, John (Jane), Charles (Laurie), Lynn, James, Dave (Lori), Kris, Laura (Brett), and Leah (Josh); grandchildren, Emily, John (Emily), Bryan (Julia), Dan (Jenn), Mike, Rebecca (Grady), Jenna (Ronnie), Alex, Kyle, Tommy (Rachel), Ella, Alicia, Kaley (Joey), Kensay (John), Dawson, Tucker (Elizabeth), Desiree, Kaitlyn (Zach), Ryan, Madelyn, and Emma; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; parents, Arnold and Leola; and siblings, Marlys and James.
Private family services are being held.
Hoff Celebration of Life Center is assisting the family.
