Lois Czaplewski

Lois E. Czaplewski, 96 of Winona died Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Winona Health. 

Lois was born on September 22, 1927 to Stanley and Eileen (Forsyth) Ensrud at her maternal grandparents home in Houston, MN.  She was the oldest of 7 children and attended country schools in the Houston and Money Creek area before moving to Winona and attending Winona Senior High.  She married Thaddeaus “Ted” W. Czaplewski and they had 5 children in this union.  Lois worked various jobs in the area, eventually retiring from Knitcraft.

She is survived by her son, Craig of Waseca; daughter, Kathleen (Steven) Meyer of Winona; two daughters-in-law, Ruth Karli of Decorah, IA and Vicki Czaplewski of Winona; grandchildren, Karissa Pecinovski, Nicole Johnson, Brent Banicki, Leif Czaplewski and Brad Meyer; eight great-grandchildren and two sisters, Marilyn  Hofland of Boulder, CO and Carol Paschka of Albert Lea, MN. Her greatest joy was bragging about her kids and Grandchildren during her life

She was preceded in death by three sons, Steven, Thomas and Keith; two brothers, Rolynn and J. Alan and two sisters, Ruth Ensrud and Joan Smith.

She will be laid to rest at Money Creek Cemetery in a private family service.
