Linda Gray

Linda Jean (Hanson) Gray was born on November 12, 1946, in Lanesboro, Minnesota, to Charlotte and Gordon Hanson. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on March 23, 2026, at the Harmony Care Center.

Linda grew up on a farm outside of Lanesboro and graduated from Lanesboro High School. She married Gary Danielson, and together they had two children, Kristi and Corey. They later divorced. Linda went on to marry Donavin Gray, and they made their home in the Stewartville and Racine area.

In 2020, Linda was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia, and over time she slowly lost the memories of her beloved family. Today, we find comfort in knowing she is free from that disease-restored, reunited with those she loved, her memory whole again, and watching over her family.

Linda was quiet, loyal, and deeply loving. Linda had a deep faith in God that guided her through life.  Family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in simply being together. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, holding each of them close in her heart.

She had a deep love for music, especially Elvis, whose songs brought her comfort and happiness throughout her life.

She will be remembered for her gentle presence, her unwavering love, and the quiet, steady way she cared for those around her.

Linda is survived by her children, Kristi (Seth) Vreeman and Corey (Michelle) Danielson; her grandchildren, Kayla (John) Frederickson, Heather (Todd) Tangen, Alyssa (Davon) Tangen, Nicholas (Ace) Zafft, Hunter Danielson and Lillie (Dalton) Danielson; her great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Kaylynn, Olivia, Hadley, Aurora, and Madilyn and another one on the way; and her siblings, Joyce (Phil) Herrick, Kathy (Scott) Urbatsch, and Richard (Bonny) Hanson; and her husband Don Gray and his family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her niece and Goddaughter Teri Hanson Ibach and other beloved family members.

A funeral service will be held on March 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Hoff Funeral Home in Lanesboro, with visitation one hour prior to the service and lunch to follow.

Linda was a devoted fan of the Minnesota Vikings, and those attending are encouraged to wear Vikings gear in her honor.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the compassionate staff at Harmony Care Center and St. Croix Hospice for the care and kindness, compassion and love shown to Linda.
