Laureen Rupprecht

Laureen Renee Rupprecht died peacefully on September 6, 2019 at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, WI. Laureen was born January 11, 1960 in Rochester, MN to Herbert and Charlotte (Schwantz) Rupprecht. She was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church - Lewiston on January 24, 1960.

Laureen lived at home until the age of 11 when she moved to the Faribault State Hospital. Since 1988, she lived at Lancer House in LaCrescent, MN, and participated in daytime activities at Ability Building Center (ABC) in LaCrescent.

Laureen is survived by her mother, Charlotte Rupprecht of Utica, MN, brothers Mike (Jennifer) Rupprecht of Lewiston, Pete (Julie) Rupprecht of Rochester, sisters Sue (Randy) Lantz of Hayfield, and Melanie (Tony) Tschida of Rochester, plus nine nieces and nephews, 1 great-niece, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Her father and an infant brother preceded her in death.

Laureen's family wishes to thank the staff at Lancer House and ABC for their kind and considerate care given to Laureen through the years. Memorials are suggested to ABLE Foundation, which began and oversees Lancer House, www.able-inc.org.


There will be a funeral service for Laureen at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at Immanuel Lutheran Church - Silo, in Lewiston, MN. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
