Kathleen Fischer

Kathleen Joan Fischer, 82, or Winona died Wednesday evening, November 1, 2023 at Gundersen Tweeten Care Center in Spring Grove in Hospice care.

Kathy was born April 26, 1941 in Winona to Emil and Eleanor (Rymarkiewicz) Fischer.  She was raised in Winona.  Kathy married Melvin Praxel and they were later divorced.  Throughout her career Kathy worked for Praxel Ambulance and Benchmark Electronics, in parts assembly.  In her retirement Kathy helped at Winona Volunteer Services and Grace Place.  She loved her cats and was a fan of the NFL, especially her Minnesota Vikings.  Kathy also enjoyed sewing and embroidering dish towels, and watching stock car races.

Survivors include two sons, Robert (Angel) Praxel of Winona, Jeff Praxel of Trempealeau, WI, grandchildren, Ella, Lane, Haylie and Ashlyn, and a sister Gloria Senstad of Winona.
