Karen Groth

Karen Jane Groth, 76 of Rushford, died Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford.

Karen was born August 11, 1948 in Rushford, MN to Irvin and Doris (Dingfelder) Rislov. She graduated from Rushford High School and completed her Associates Degree as an LPN at Winona Vo-Tech. On June 24, 1967, she married Ronald Groth and they had three children, Lori, Jon and David.

Karen worked as an LPN at St. Anne in Winona for most of her career. She then put in several years as a cashier at Walmart where she was loved by customers and coworkers for her fun loving, witty personality and her hair color of the week.

She enjoyed watching TV, especially game shows, Food Network and the Weather Channel. She loved her kitties and plants and named each one of them, as well as naming several other things including her canes.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald “Ron”; children, Lori (Todd) Kokinos of Rushford, Jon (Melissa) Groth of Winona and David Groth of Winona; grandchildren, Shane & Bryce Kokinos, Brittany Sera, and Andrew (Erin) & Christopher Losinski; great-grandson, Collin Losinski; and her brother, Kenny (Linda) Rislov.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Service will be 3 p.m., Sunday, May 25, 2025 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service - Rushford with the Reverend Ryan Eden officiating.  Visitation will be 2 p.m., until the time of the service.
