Joseph Ruder

Winona, MNJoseph C. Ruder, 92, formerly of Richfield, MN, died Tuesday, October 8, 2002 at the Sauer Memorial Home in Winona. Joe was born September 19, 1910 in Dehli, MN to Joseph and Helena (Fox) Ruder. He married Bernice Hittner who later died April 30, 1968. Joe had been a farmer and also worked as an inspector for PAKO industries in Minneapolis, MN from which he retired. Joe was veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the St. Richard's parish in Minneapolis as well as the American Legion in Richfield, MN. Joe had been a resident of Sauer Memorial Home since 1994. Survivors include his step-son, Roger (Renee) Kohner of Winona; grandchildren, Bob Kohner of Winona and Michele Kohner of St. Louis Park, MN; and great-grandson, Nicholas Kohner. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Bernice and two sisters, Cleo and Winnifred.A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, October 11, 2002 at 5:15pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Reverend Joseph Keefe officiating. Burial will be the Resurrection Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
