Jon Bitu

Jon Bitu, 89, died May 5, 2026 at Saint Anne’s in Winona MN.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin (Anne) Bitu and Kirk Bitu.

He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVonne Bitu; two brothers, Victor and Jenus; and one sister, Vanita.

A celebration of Jon’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the American Legion in Winona from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery in Winona. The family kindly suggests in lieu of flowers that memorials may be directed to the Winona Area Humane Society.
