John "Jack" Williams McNally Jr.

John William McNally Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the age of 81, in St. Charles, MN. He was born on January 30, 1945, in Waterbury, Connecticut. 

For an impressive 45 years, John dedicated his life to the open road as an over-the-road truck driver and trainer. Anyone who spent time with John could speak to the joy he found in his work, as well as the bond he formed with his fellow truckers. 

John had a passion for NASCAR that ran as deep as his love for life on the road. He was also a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots. Known affectionately as "Jack-o" and "Yankee" by those closest to him, John had a special talent for picking back and forth with “the boys”. He was a true roamer at heart, effortlessly finding communities to connect with. 

He is survived by his friends, Kim and Bud Hackbarth; their children “the boys”, Ethan (Karissa), Casey, Cody (Julia), and Jessie; their grandchildren, Kaiden, Kylee, Maya, and Theo; his best friend and dog, Hershey; and special friend and neighbor, Elaine.
