Joanne Eischen

Joanne Louise Eischen, died on October 12, 2026, at the age of 77, at Lake Winona Manor. Joanne was born in Watertown, Minnesota, to John and Betty Nipp, and spent her formative years in the loving company of her ten siblings in Mahtomedi, Minnesota.  
 
A proud graduate of St. Jude's Elementary School and Mahtomedi Public High School, Class of 1966, Joanne ventured on to Winona State University, where fate brought her the love of her life. In a moment that felt like love at first sight, she met Michael Eischen, and the two were united in marriage on September 20, 1969. Together, they created a nurturing home in Winona, Minnesota, where they raised two wonderful sons, Jeffery and Paul. 
 
Throughout her life, Joanne embraced the challenges that came her way with resilience and grace. As a devoted stay-at-home mom, she found joy in the incredible journey of motherhood, becoming a pillar of strength for her family. Joanne's unwavering spirit and her ability to see the silver lining in every situation enriched the lives of those around her, making her an indelible source of light and love. 
 
Joanne is survived by her husband, Michael Eischen; son, Jeffery (Gwen) Eischen; grandchildren, Kiley Eischen, and Connor Eischen; and 10 siblings.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Betty Nipp; and son, Paul Eischen.
