Janis D Fix

Janis D. (Comingore) Fix, age 95, passed away on August 28, 2026 at St. Charles Assisted Living.

Jan was born to Minta (Holdredge) and Merle Comingore on October 8, 1930, in St. Charles, MN and raised in Dover. Jan graduated from Dover High School as class salutatorian in 1948 and went on to attend RCTC and Winona State.

Jan married Wayne Fix on January 12, 1951 in Portsmouth, Virginia where Wayne was stationed in the Navy. Jan was employed by a bank in Virginia and when they returned to MN she joined Wayne in farming North of Dover and worked at First State Bank of Dover followed by a couple other establishments.

She is survived by her son, Mike (Cathy) of Otsego; daughter, Janell (Orven) Dahl of St. Charles; grandson, Nic Dahl; granddaughter, Lindsey Fix-Greer (Ryan) and great-grandsons, Preston, Cameron and Evan, along with their moms, Robyn Dahl and Amber Dahl.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Jeri Fix Berger and grandson, Nathan Dahl.

Per her wishes, a private family graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Dover.
