James Kiekbusch

James Paul Kiekbusch, age 77, of Winona, MN, died Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse, WI, surrounded by his family.

James was born February 19, 1948 in Winona, MN, the son of Donald and Lucille (Rengstorf) Kiekbusch. He graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering with a Bachelor’s degree. He was quite the entrepreneur, and was passionate about electrical engineering. He owned and operated Omni Engineering for over 30 years. Jim also loved to travel for work and leisure, and especially enjoyed beach trips. Jim enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and if there was a good time, Jim wanted to be a part of it. Jim liked to go for drives, spending time outside, boating on the river, and fishing. He was an avid Minnesota Twins fan, and loved to go to baseball games. He will be dearly missed by his beloved dog, Earl.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Lee; Stephanie (Eryn) Dressler, Jeanette (Justin) Shea, Matthew (Chelsie) Kiekbusch, Brice Woolston, Kevin Krause (Manuel), Joe (Chelsea) Drazkowski, and Tim Drazkowski; grandchildren: Mason, Marek, Charlotte, Jimmy, and Elliott.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents; and son, Jeremy Woolston.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 3, 2025 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Sobieski Park Lodge in Winona.
