Jacqueline “Jackie” Denzer, age 92 of Winona, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Friday, November 10, 2023.
Jackie will always be remembered as a volunteer. She volunteered for the girl scouts, boy scouts, her church parish, and the PTA. She would often be gone volunteering from 6am to 6pm each day. When not busy volunteering, Jackie enjoyed being a part of the bowling league, going to the casino, quilting, and playing cards. She loved to cook and always welcomed friends to join her family dinner table.
Jackie is survived by her children, Christie Roberton, Tamera (Elmer) Nesbit, Greg (Amy Pelowski) Bingold, Dana (Steve) Jabs, Gina (Kevin Unnasch) McRae, and Eric (Wendy) Denzer; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; special friend, Ron Buege; sisters-in-law, Marcie Hamernik and Marty Hamernik-Nunemaker; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; infant son; grandson, Thaddeus Denzer; parents, Alanson Sr., and Alma; siblings, Alanson Jr., Marylou Pelowski, and Terrance Hamernick.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Sauer Health Care and Winona Area Hospice for their care of Jackie.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 12pm at St. Paul Catholic Church (132 Anderson St. Minnesota City, MN) with visitation beginning at 11am. Jackie will be laid to rest at Oakland Cemetery in Minnesota City.
