Isie Meyer

Lewiston,     Isabelle Caroline Emma “Isie” Meyer, 87, of Lewiston died peacefully, Saturday morning July 12th at the Lewiston Villa.     Isie was born August 13, 1915 in Sebeka to Herman and Clara Neldner Eitel. She was baptized by her grandfather, Reverend Joseph Eitel on September 15, 1915 at Zion Lutheran Church I Sebeka. She graduated from Sebeka High School with the class of 1927. On February 17, 1937 Isie married Ben Meyer at Lewiston, where they lived and farmed until his death in 1981. She has resided in the Villa for the past four years.     Isie was a member of St. Paul’s U.C.C./ E.L.C.A. in Lewiston.     Survivors include a daughter Donna Mae (Duane) Erickson of Lanesboro, two sons Ben (Pat) Meyer of Winona and Robert (Linda) Meyer of Lewiston, seven grandchildren, Deanna (Chuck) Casterton of Decorah, IA; Paul Rude of Minneapolis; Mat Rude of Decorah; Traci (Patrick) Johnson and Jeffrey Meyer of Winona; Charles (Tami) Storm of Kato, WI and Levi Storm of Lewiston, five great-grandchildren Kollin and Alex Johnson,Madison Storm, Kelly and Justin Casterton, a sister Renilda (Willis) Olson of Glyndon, MN and a brother Orville (Marian) Eitel of Sebeka. In addition to her husband Ben Meyer a son-in-law, Parney Rude preceded he in death. Funeral Services will be 11AM Wednesday at St. Paul’s UCC/ ELCA in Lewiston with the Rev. Roy Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewiston Public Cemetery. Friends may call at St. Paul’s Church from 4-8 PM Tuesday and one hour before services Wednesday.      Hoff Funeral Home’s – Lewiston Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
