Irving Wiskow

Irving Everett Wiskow, 80, died Saturday, September 30, 2023, in Hugo, Minnesota.

He was born September 7, 1943, in Chatfield, Minnesota, to Everett and Rachel (Smith) Wiskow. He married Elaine Knudson on January 16, 1965, in Rochester, Minnesota.

Irv worked at the St. Charles Condensing Company and Patterson Quarries in St. Charles. However, his career and countless tales of shenanigans came from his 37 years working for MN DOT as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine; daughter, Mylee (Bob) Puetz of Piedmont, South Dakota; son Bryce (Paula) Wiskow of Stillwater, Minnesota; two sisters, Carol (Stan) Braun and Pati (Donald) Zingler both of St. Charles; eight grandchildren, Anastasia (Frank) Mosher Vidal, Alyssa Puetz, Justin Nachtweih, Jacey (Andre) Peltier, Tyler Nachtweih, Ashlin (Jason) Marquardt, Sammi Nachtweih, CJ Wiskow; eleven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Rachel; and a very special nephew, Bruce Braun.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Hoff Funeral Home in St. Charles with a visitation 1 hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. American Legion Hugh Watson Post 190 and VFW Post 5630 will be presenting military honors. After the burial, please join us at Brewskies in Utica for food, refreshments and to share laughter and memories.
