Heda Najmaie

Heda Najmaie passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at her home in Winona.

Heda was born May 12, 1979 in Iowa City, Iowa. She graduated from Winona State University with a BS in Management Information Systems, and was nearing completion of a Masters Degree in Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. She was employed with Saint Mary's University in Winona for several years and later at UWL and excelled in her career. Heda was a partner in the creation of and daily operations of Broken World Records Tavern in Winona.

Heda had a passion for growing plants - she was an amazing cook, and found peace and joy in her garden. Growing up, she found sanctuary in the outdoors and continued to deeply respect, celebrate and honor nature. She adored her cats: Gonzo,Raoul, Buddy and Dotty.

She will be dearly missed by her surviving family: her husband William, her mother Marzie and step-father Edward, her father Hossain, her brother Pouya, sister-in-law Malia, and nephew Kayhan, her sister Parsa, and extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center - Goodview. Visitation will be 10 a.m., until the time of the service. Heda will be laid to rest at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis on Friday July 9.
