Gregory M. Drussell

Gregory Mark Drussell, age 59, of Winona, MN, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Winona Health.

Greg was born May 24, 1966, in Winona, MN, to Richard and Martha (Rolbiecki) Drussell. He was known for his quick wit and making people laugh with his goofy sense of humor. One of many ways he did this was to ask his phone random questions, resulting in many laughs. He truly had a heart of gold and expressed his love for others through pitching in to help however he could. Greg enjoyed spending time with his family, especially around the holidays, which usually included playing board and card games that always filled the house with laughter. Each time loved ones from out of town came to visit, they were greeted with a fresh batch of his homemade frosted brownies, which according to him were the best ones yet. He was an avid horror movie buff and also enjoyed The Lord of the Rings series and Marvel Universe films. But above all, Greg deeply loved and cherished his children, Katrina and Nathaniel, who brought immense joy to his life. Both talented artists, he treasured each piece of artwork he received, which he proudly displayed around his home. And like them, he was a big Minnesota Vikings fan, sharing a close bond together by cheering on their team.

He is survived by his daughter Katrina, son Nathaniel, mother Martha, brothers Tony, John, and Jeff (Michelle Schroeder), sister Theresa (Brian) Seccia, nephews Nicholas and Jackson, and nieces Olivia and Ava.

Greg was preceded in death by his father Richard and sister Rebecca.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 10, 2025 at 11:00am at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Winona, with Rev. Michael Churchill officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, October 9 from 4-7pm at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Winona, with a prayer service at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Winona with a luncheon to follow at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
